Mary K. Mangin Benacci

Mary K. Mangin Benacci, age 93, formerly of 1652 Skyline Drive, died Tuesday, Mary 15, 2007 at Sunrise Assisted Living.

She was born September 5, 1913 in Erie, a daughter of the late John and Concetta DeVincentis Mangin. She lived in Erie her entire life. She had worked at National Fuel and with her husband, Alfred owned and operated Benacci's "3040" Restaurant and Bar. She was an avid card player and most recently enjoyed playing bridge with Rita Katen at the Mercy Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred B. Benacci; one son, David A. Benacci; two brothers, Nunzio and Joseph Mangin and three sisters, Stella DiPlacido, Rose Akre and Ann Pillitteri.

She is survived by one daughter, Lori Anne Benacci of Erie; one son, John L. Benacci and his wife Gloria of Laredo, TX; one sister, Jean M. Flynn and her husband Norbert of Erie and two sisters-in-law; Theresa Benacci of Erie and Fannie Benacci of Selma, OR. She is also survived four grandchildren, John Benjamin, Michael, Matthew and Christina, one great granddaughter, Mary Camille of TX and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday at Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 W6^th St, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 2022 W38th St., Erie, PA 16508. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
