Albert Yacobozzi
Albert Nick Yacobozzi, of 4031 West 30th Street, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Erie, a son of the late Julius and Angelina Bobe Yacobozzi.
He lived in Erie his entire life. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a member of the DAV. He received both his bachelor and master's degrees from Gannon University. He was a Social Studies Teacher for the Erie School District. He was a Ham Amateur Radio operator call number N3NHX. He enjoyed reading, all types of Westerns and was a loving grandfather.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Pasquale "Patsy" and Michael Vincent Yacobozzi; a sister, Virginia Brickell and a daughter-in-law, Margaret Yacobozzi.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Loretta Esposito Yacobozzi; one daughter, Angela Barabas of Silver Springs Shores, FL; two sons, Al Yacobozzi and his wife Deborah of Millcreek and Vincent Yacobozzi of Erie; one sister, JoAnn Yacobozzi of Erie. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
