Alfred J. Mancuso Jr.

Alfred J. Mancuso, Jr., age 71, of Erie, died at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. He was born August 16, 1940 in Erie, a son of the late Alfred J. and Sarah Santi Mancuso.

He lived in Erie his entire life. He was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School; class of 1959. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Newport News during the Vietnam War. Alfred retired from GE after 27 years. He enjoyed his family, traveling and hunting. He was an avid Brown's fan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Bobby Mancuso.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon Smith Mancuso; two daughters, Tammy Mancuso and her companion Daniel Szczesny and Pamela Morabito and husband Michael all of Erie; one son, Robert J. Mancuso and his companion Lori Willis of FL; one sister, Evelyn Parshall and husband Jerry of Erie and five grandchildren, Cynthia and Jamie Horwath, Caitlyn Wolf, Jacob Smith all of Erie and Brooke Mancuso of Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Committal Service and military honors at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
