Angela R. Lemmo Filippi

Angela R. "Angie" Lemmo Filippi, of Erie, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. She was born July 22, 1924 in Matrice, Italy, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Ratino Lemmo.

Angie's retail sales career extended nearly 40 years at Trask's, Carlisle's and Peebles Department Stores.

She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lelio Louis Filippi.

She is survived by one son, David A. Filippi and wife Sandra; one daughter, Darlene M. Stone and husband Bruce; one sister, Nicolina Leone and four grandchildren, Cynthia Ferber and husband Curtis, Dave Filippi, II, Aaron Stone and Amy Stone and her fiance, Michael Resurreccion all of Erie. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Spencer, Megan and Kamryn and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, Inc., on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 West 26th Street at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
