Angeline "Angie" A. Aquillano Gualtieri

June 10, 1931 — January 29, 2025

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom, Angeline "Angie" A. Aquillano Gualtieri, at the grand old age of 93, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at Sarah Reed Senior Living. She was born in Erie on June 10, 1931, daughter of the late Canilaro "Carl" and Caroline (Manciero) Aquillano.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Michael P. Gualtieri; daughter, Denise Wilson; two brothers Samuel and William Aquillano; and five sisters, Mary Noce, Thelma Trabucco, Clara Smock, Vera Berarducci, and Frances Alberico.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Donovan (John); son, Michael G. Gualtieri (Colleen); son-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Wilson; sister, Rose Aquillano; and four grandchildren, Ryan Wilson (Kayla), Noelle, Wilson SmithColon (Carlos), Patrick Wiesen, and Shelby Wiesen Weber (Dusty). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Chloe, Caylin, and Isabella Wilson, Reece and Jaxen Weber, and Emmett Wiesen; special nephew, Edward Joseph Palombizio and many nieces and nephews.

Known for her infectious laughter, smile, and unwavering kindness she touched the lives of all who knew her. She was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. A true matriarch. She went above and beyond to help anyone in need. Her family extended beyond blood. If you were her friend, you were a member of her family.

She made family memories on yearly vacations, taking her children and grandchildren, included but not limited to, such places as, Disney World, North Pole, N.Y., and Mystic, Connecticut. She also traveled with her sister- in-law and a nephew to Italy. She made famous trips to Ed's Footlong Hotdogs and Hank's homemade custard in Meadville with her partner in crime, her husband.

She enjoyed making porcelain dolls and doing ceramics in her basement with friends. She cooked spaghetti dinners for Gannon University and the St. Paul's Italian festival. She enjoyed baking with her family during the Christmas holidays. She entertained and over the years hosted many card parties with her husband in their home. In her later years she enjoyed visiting the casino (ching ching) and playing bingo with her friends at Sarah Reed.

Angie was employed at Marx Toy Company, Super Saver, where she was deli department head, and Golden Dawn, where she was head of the bakery and retired from in 1991.
