Anna M. Scutella Arduini
Anna M. Scutella Arduini, 93, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on April 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Scutella, Sr. and Josephine Pino Scutella. The family moved to Franklin, PA before settling in Erie, PA in 1940 where they remained.
Anna worked for Firchs Bakery and Continental Rubber Works where she met her husband Lou, finally retiring from her job at Sterling Factories.
Anna was a truly devoted daughter and always a wonderful caregiver to her family and anyone else she could help.
She loved cooking and caring for all in her family and her baking skills were enjoyed by so many throughout the years.
She enjoyed lunch and playing cards with her club girls for decades, and played bocce and bingo. She also enjoyed many "Atlantic City" trips and later also trips to the casino in Erie. She was a member of the Local 61 retirees.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her devoted husband Louis P. Arduini, brothers, Tony, Pat, Frank, Carmen, Ernie, James and Joseph Scutella, Jr. and sisters Theresa Orlando and Margaret (Tootie) DiMarco. Anna is survived by her loving daughters Tina Arduini Drzewiecki of Erie, and Angela Arduini Fels and her husband Bryan of Fairview. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her grandson Scott Ross and his wife Patty and grandson Matthew L. Fels. She is further survived by her sister Angeline Scutella Ianello and her husband Chuck of Erie. Anna was also blessed with two great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and also her many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service there at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
