Anthony J. DiAndrea
Anthony J. DiAndrea, age 94, of Erie, died Thursday February 21, 2013 at the VA Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born March 10, 1918 in Homer, PA, a son of the late Dominick and Frances Page DiAndrea. He lived in Erie most of his life.
Anthony served in the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed fishing and was a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angeline M. Comita DiAndrea who passed away on January 4, 2002; one daughter, Christine M. McNerney; one brother Dom D'Andrea and two sisters, Josephine Spada and Nettie Berarducci.
He is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline M. Crossley and husband Gregg of Harborcreek and Janice M. Cole of Erie; two brothers, Joseph D'Andrea and wife Floria and Richard D'Andrea both of Erie; one sister, Mary Milano and husband Palmer of Erie and four grandchildren, Gregg Crossley, Jr., Heather Crossley, Angela Cole and Kelly Cole. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren Matthew, Collin and Joslyn and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint George RC Church at 10 a.m. Entombment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum.
