Anthony T. "Tony" Tetuan
Anthony T. "Tony" Tetuan, age 90, of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Erie, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Saint Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach Florida after a brief illness.
He was born October 1, 1921 in Erie, a son of the late Domenic and Giovanna Scalzitti Tetuan. He served in the United states Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a trumpet player in the 10th Armored Division Band and worked in local bands in the Erie area. He had worked for Coca Cola and owned and operated the Central Beer Distributor in Erie.
Tony enjoyed golfing and worked for several years at the Bear Lakes Country Club as a starter. He also liked to work in his garden growing tomatoes.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Marie Raleigh Tetuan; one daughter, Karen Tetuan; two brothers, Vincent and Guido Tetuan and three sisters, Lucy Argerus, Josephine Bender, and Anna D'Onofrio
He is survived by one daughter, Betsy Haenel and husband David of Union City, PA; two sons, Stephen A. Tetuan and wife Linn of Erie and Mark O. Tetuan of Erie; one brother, Domenick Tetuan of Erie. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service there at 11:15 a.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
