Antoinette B. "Ann" Viggiano Canella

Antoinette B. "Ann" Viggiano Canella, age 88, of Erie, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at UPMC Hamot after an extended illness.

She was born April 29, 1924 in Erie, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary Grace Matarazzo Viggiano. She lived in Erie her entire life.

Ann was a devoted wife and mother. She had many dear friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, interior home decorating, and gardening.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Augustine and Vincent Viggiano and three sisters, Jennie Pizzi, Nicolena Viggiano and Virginia Viggiano.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Anthony M. "Tony" Canella of Erie; a daughter, Dr. Karen A. Canella of VA and two sisters, Louise Viggiano and Dolores Viggiano both of Erie. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 West 26th Street, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
