Antoinette C. DiMarco

Antoinette C. "Toni" DiMarco, age 89, formerly of Brown Avenue died peacefully Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Saint Mary's Home of Erie after an extended illness.

She was born May 5, 1919 in Erie, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria DiFilippo DiMarco. She lived in Erie her entire life. She had attended Strong Vincent High School and began working her senior year to help her family. She worked at Erie Resistor and at Erie Technolocigal from where she retired. She was a member of Saint Paul RC Church where she received all her sacraments and was a member of the Ladies Montenero Society. She enjoyed traveling and bowling.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Serafino, Patrick and Vincent DiMarco and one sister, Ernestine Beck.

She is survived by one brother, Ronald DiMarco and his wife Patricia and three sisters, Jel Carey, Lillian Olszewski and Alice Fhurman all of Erie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a service there on Friday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10 am. A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 3 pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial may be made to the St. Joseph's Neighborhood Network Center, 517 Maryland Ave., Erie, PA 16505.
