Arietto N. "Harry" Fronzaglia
Arietto N. "Harry" Fronzaglia, age 86, of Girard, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his residence. He was born November 12, 1922 in West Newton, PA, a son of the late Nicola A. and Margherita DeSantis Fronzaglia.
He served in the United States Army in military intelligence during World War II. He retired from Superior Concrete Pipe Co and was an avid musician in the Erie area with many local bands, including his own group "Just Friends." He was a life member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 17, VFW Post 470 and American Legion Post 742.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet R. Fried Fronzaglia; two brothers, L. Stanley and Paul Fronzaglia and three sisters, Irma Clement, Agnes Fronzaglia and Pauline Fronzaglia.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandy Bartley and her husband Jim of Erie and Cindy Sedora and her husband Steve of Girard; one son, Douglas Fronzaglia and his wife Judy of Girard; one brother, Simone Fronzaglia of Erie and one sister, Alda Locke of Erie. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Church, 8880 W. Main St, McKean, PA at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
