Arlene Margaret Huyck-Ventresca, was born August 26, 1933, was welcomed by Our Lord on Friday, April 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Brookville Hospital following a brief illness. Arlene was born and raised in Erie, PA a daughter of the late Melvin and Esther Curtis Huyck.

She is survived by her three children, Linda Williams, (Ed), of Phoenix, AZ, Cynthia Reed, (Norman), of Brookville, PA and Mark Ventresca of Toledo, OH. She also was a proud grandmother of her six beautiful grandchildren, Joe Williams, John Thornton (Michelle), Brent Thornton, (Julie), Adam Thornton, Curtis Ventresca, (Megan) and Justin Ventresca, along with her twelve, great-grandchildren, and her three, great-great grandchildren. Arlene is also survived by her loving companion of over 30 years, Leonard Baranowski, whom she adored whole heartedly.

Arlene is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, John Anthony Ventresca. Together they raised a beautiful family and shared wonderful memories. She enjoyed sharing the stories about their years together with her family over the years. She is also preceded in death by her five brothers, and four sisters.

Arlene worked hard during her life and retired from Plastek. She was an active member of Saint George Catholic Church in Erie, PA and truly showed those around her what it was like to live a true Christian life. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and the joy she took in her family and friends. She loved to crochet and share her creations with others. She was known for always having everything neat and tidy and took such pride in everything she did.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA. from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Monday at Saint George Church, 5145 Peach Street, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations can be made to the family.
