Armand A. Ferrante
Armand A. "Pepe" Ferrante, 89, of Erie, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Fairview Manor, Fairview, PA. He was born May 5, 1929 in Erie, a son of the late Domenico and Assunta Iaboni Ferrante.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
In the 1950's and 1960's, Mr. Ferrante worked at Hagan Business Machines in Erie. He then owned and operated Ferrante Business Machines on North St. in Meadville from approximately 1968 to 1988. In his later years, he migrated between Erie in the summer and Florida in the winter.
Mr. Ferrante loved to watch and discuss sports, especially baseball, football and golf. He always focused on the Italian athletes of the day.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Angelina Felice, and Philomena Stitt.
He is survived by one son, Anthony Ferrante and his wife Imelda of Virginia Beach, VA; two daughters, Dina M. Watson of Palm Bay, FL and Coreen M. Ferrante of Palm Bay, FL; two sisters, Mary Iaboni of Erie and Yolanda Colletta and husband Phillip of North East; and two brothers, Gulio and Alphonse Ferrante, both of Erie. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Gary and Domenic Ferrante of Las Vegas, NV, and Devin and Danni Watson of Palm Bay FL; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, will be handling funeral arrangements.
