Arthur Joseph "Art" Sementelli
Arthur Joseph "Art" Sementelli, age 84, a resident of the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors home passed away May 18, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born on March 9, 1929, son of the late Luigi and Machina Sementelli. He was preceded in death by brother Dominic Sementelli and a sister Libra (Lee) Sementelli.
Art served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He attended Gannon College. He owned and operated Sementelli's Cut Rate and the Rondevou Bar and Grill, and later worked in construction until his retirement.
Art was a very private man who always had a positive outlook on life. He had a passion for golf and unconditional love for his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Rose Mary Schember Sementelli; his son Dr. Arthur Jay Sementelli, who were second to none in his heart. Brothers Ed Sementelli (wife, Dora), Richard Sementelli (wife, Nancy), and Robert Sementelli (wife, Linda), a sister-in-law, Josephine Cacchione (husband, Ken), brother-in-law Jasper Schember (wife, Becky), sister-in-law Mary Francis Schember; an aunt Felicia Paradise, and a cousin Christine Martin and several nieces and nephews.
Thanks to the staff at the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home for their loving care and support.
No calling hours will be observed and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry is handling the arrangements.
