Audine Wilson
Audine "Dee" Yacobozzi Wilson, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Saint Mary's Home at Asbury Ridge. She was born on April 24, 1925 in Erie, a daughter of the late Anthony and Ligia Presogna Yacobozzi.
Dee was a beautiful woman inside and out with a laugh that would light up a room. She was smart and witty and was a talented musician and singer. She was a good mother who endured the loss of her three daughters, taken far too soon. Dee served the needs of many through her working life as a librarian at General McLane Middle School, an administrator at GECAC, and Director of the Tri-Boro Senior Center. She was also a member of the Montenero Ladies Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Earl" Wilson; daughters, Dawn Stone, Eve Wilson, and Sheila Wilson; a brother, Elmer Yacobozzi; and her sister, Carrie Gianoni.
Dee is survived by her sons, Howard Wilson, of Erie, and Daniel Wilson, of West Palm Beach, FL. She is also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 11 a.m. followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes at www.marchofdimes.org.
