Barbara A. Doherty, 66, of Erie, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness.

She was born February 20, 1952 in Erie, a daughter of the late Melvin and Betty Zygala Brown.

She had worked at Sudsy Laundromat. She loved reading and writing, and she loved animals. She had many dear friends.

No calling hours were observed. A private service will be held. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street are handling the arrangements.
