Benjamin J. Cantoni

Benjamin J. "Ben" Cantoni, age 72, of Erie, died Sunday, September 19, 2011 at Saint Mary's Home of Erie after an extended illness.

He was born May 5, 1939 in Erie, a son of the late Louis A. and Angeline L. DiMarco Cantoni. Benjamin was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and had worked at Sterling Seal Company.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard N. Cantoni.

He is survived by his cousin, Maria Iacobucci and her husband Richard of Erie; one niece, Lisa D'Ambrosio and her husband Frank and one nephew, Louis S. Cantoni and wife Angela both of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by twin great-nieces, one great-nephew and many cousins.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
