Bert P. Copple

Bert P. Copple, age 85, of 3722 Harvard Road, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at his residence following complications due to Parkinson's disease.

He was born on September 27, 1921 in Conneaut, OH, a son of the late Anthony and Mary Pizzi Copple. He lived in Erie most of his life. He was a graduate of Technical Memorial High School and served in the United States Army during World War II. He had worked at G.E. for 42 years and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doris C. Julio Copple of Erie; four sons, Bert A. Copple and his wife, Chris of Erie, Gary A. Copple and his companion Annette of Cambridge Springs, PA, Mark S. Copple and Barry L. Copple both of Erie and one brother, Nick Copple of Redding, CA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
