Betty Marie Larese Liotta
Betty Marie Larese Liotta, age 81, of Erie, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at UPMC Hamot Hospital. She was born March 29, 1930, in Erie, a daughter of the late Gladys Larese Huey, and Carl Larese. She was a homemaker and lived for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was active in two family businesses, Flowerland Florist and Tino's Pasta Shop. She was also employed at D.K., and Value City.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Jim Liotta, a sister, Rita and a brother, John Larese.
She is survived by six daughters, Valerie Liotta Hawryliw and husband Mike, Janice Liotta Hawryliw and husband Ron, Angela Liotta Fabrizi and husband Robbie, Pam Liotta Fall and Rosalie Liotta all of Erie and Deborah Liotta Dolan and husband Dave of Houston, TX; three sons, James Liotta and Jeffrey Liotta and wife Mary both of Erie, Joe Liotta of Houston, TX; a sister, Anita Cassano of Erie; brother, Bill Huey of CA and grandchildren, Tina Fabrizi Romanski and husband Tim, Marissa Steiner Romanski and husband Rick, Sheila Wagner, Kayla Mansfield, Maria Liotta, Michelle Storicks and husband Jason , Mathew Hawryliw, Jim Hawryliw, Jeffrey Hawryliw, Anthony Liotta and Nick Fall all of Erie, Danielle Steiner Goodwin and husband Jason, Joe Liotta and wife Laura, Andrea Reyes and husband Gabe, Tina Liotta, and Chris Fall all of Houston, TX and Genea Steiner Bristow and husband Jared of Austin TX. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Brianna Romanski, Timmy Romanski, Sammy Romanski, Alyssa Romanski, Ricky Romanski, Riley Hawryliw, Hunter Storicks and Tyler Storicks all of Erie, Gabriella Page, Gavin Goodwin, Gracie Goodwin, Mia Reyes, and Bryce Liotta all of Houston, TX and Madelyn Bristow and Emma Bristow both of Austin, TX. and many nieces and nephews that she adored.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry St., on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Jude RC Church, 2801 West 6th Street, at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
