Betty Ruth Sullivan Tallentire

Betty Ruth Sullivan Tallentire, age 79, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2009 with her family by her side.

Betty was born July 23, 1929 in Markleysburg, PA, a daughter of the late Dorsey and Grace Glisan Sullivan. Betty resided in Erie, Pennsylvania for 40 years before retiring to Florida in 1987 from her position as head cashier with Loblaw Inc. with 29 years of service. In 1990, Betty became a teacher's assistant at the Holland School located in Palm Beach Gardens, where she worked for 18 years until age 78.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Vesta Dennis.

Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lucian Phil Tallentire of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her daughter, Donna Renaud and husband Glen, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; 3 grandchildren, Heidi DePadua of Lindenhurst, IL, Rachelle Renaud of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Shane Renaud of Philadelphia, PA; her sister, Laura DiPanfilo and husband Michael of Erie, PA and four brothers, Robert Sullivan and wife June of Jefferson, OH, Ray Sullivan and wife Judy of Rockford, IL, and Ronnie Sullivan and wife Sharie of Newton Falls, OH and Jack Sullivan and wife Linda of York, ME. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Taylor and Avery and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Saturday from 9 am until the time of the Funeral Service there at 11 am with Pastor Ray Sines of Erie Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
