Beverly Ann Orlando Raimondi, 80 , of Erie, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born June 23, 1936 in Erie, a daughter of the late Dominic and Angeline Phillips Orlando.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grade School and Villa Maria Academy Class of 1955. She had worked at Western and Southern Insurance Company.

Beverly was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and enjoyed bowling.

In 1988 she had a double lung and heart transplant at UPMC in Pittsburgh. She was the longest living transplant survivor.

Beverly's son was the greatest joy in her life and her world revolved around him.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lawrence N. Raimondi of Erie; her son, Lawrence N. Raimondi, Jr., Esq. (Coleen) of Atlanta, GA; and a brother, Vincent Orlando (Kathy) of Erie. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Alexandra Raimondi, the joy and love of her life. She is also survived by an aunt, Geraldine Kaufmann and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 West 26th Street, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
