Brian P. Doherty

Brian P. Doherty, age 51, of Erie, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at his residence after battling cancer.

He was born October 9, 1960 in Bronx, New York , a son of Katherine Flynn Doherty of Florida and the late Michael P. Doherty.

Brian worked at many places including Grimm Industries in Fairview, Liberty Iron, TAPCO in Meadville, Seaway Aluminum and many years with Labor Ready.

He was an avid fan of his New York Yankees and the New York Jets.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Barbi A. Brown Doherty of Erie; his kitty cat, "PeePee"; his best buddy, Emery and Miss Elizabeth; many nieces and nephews; not to mention all who knew him, loved him, and cared about him, and all the wonderful Hospice ladies, especially Susan and Catherine.

No calling hours will be observed. A service and burial will be private at the family's convenience.

The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
