Carmen Dominic Farbo
Carmen Dominic Farbo, 70, of Erie, formerly of Charlotte, NC, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at UPMC Hamot. He was born October 7, 1952 in Erie, son of Rose Nakoski-Farbo-Gensheimer.
Carmen was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, then served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army, he worked at GE in their apprentice program.
Carmen eventually moved to Charlotte, NC where he resided for 24 years, he worked for AME & Southern Industrial doing Business Development and later in life he decided to follow his passion for gardening and started his own landscaping business. He recently returned to Erie to reconnect with old friends, family and most in importantly to spend time with his grandchildren whom he adored, Lillian and Grace Ann, or as they call him Papa.
Carmen enjoyed a variety of sporting events whether it was watching his favorite teams the New York Knicks or the Buffalo Bills, playing on numerous Pool Leagues, playing Softball or rooting on a Boxing Match. Carmen loved spending the day on the Golf Course with Alexis and a weekend away downhill skiing at the Peak n Peek with Jessica. Carmen was a dedicated father first and foremost, he treasured his two daughters and embraced every moment with them. Carmen's larger than life personality and contagious smile made him friends wherever he went and would quickly become the life of the party.
He was preceded in death by Cynthia Farbo, the mother of his daughter Jessica.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Marie Farbo and Alexis Ann Farbo; two granddaughters, Lillian Marie and Grace Ann Copeland; one brother, Anthony Farbo; and one sister, Valerie Farbo. He is also survived by Tonya M. Correll, the mother of his daughter Alexis and his two Belgian Malinois dogs, Kuno and Sadie, who were his biggest protectors and never left his side.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6:30 p.m.
