Carol Iacovetta

Carol A. Iacovetta, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was born on July 30, 1945, in Erie, a daughter of the late Cosimo and Mary Cristina Iacovetta.

Carol graduated from Strong Vincent High School class of 1964. She went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master of Library Science degree from Clarion University in Pennsylvania.

She enjoyed various library positions and retired after nearly twenty years at the reference desk at the Erie County Public Library, Blasco.

After retirement, she was a competitive speed walker, walking with the Striders and exercising at the YMCA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jennie Iacovetta Vetrone and brothers-in-law, Robert Vetrone and Elliot Tucker.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Roselie Iacovetta Tucker, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

Friends are invited to attend a Prayer Service on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 3325 West Lake Road, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. The Prayer Service will be live streamed online at www.facebook.com/orlandofuneralhome.
