Caroline G. Pavlock Labrozzi

Caroline G. Pavlock Labrozzi, age 77, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 in Mentor, OH after a courageous battle with cancer while her family was by her side.

She was born November 26, 1932 in Johnsonburg, PA, a daughter of the late Walter W. and Pauline H. Machcoviak Pavlock. She was raised in Johnsonburg, Pa., later moving to Erie, Pa. where she married John "Johnny" Labrozzi on November 10, 1951. She was a wonderful, cherished, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A woman of many words, she always had a kind word for others. Her smile and laughter was shared by all.

Caroline was a homemaker and excellent cook. She was known to many for her specialty dish of spaghetti and meatballs, as well as, her homemade apple pie. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her other interests included visiting and traveling with family, especially to Las Vegas. While reading was a special passion, she especially enjoyed sharing books and stories with everyone. She will be sadly and greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband John D. Labrozzi, Sr.; one brother, Marcellus Pavlock; and two sisters, Mary Zelenz and Josephine Burfield.

She is survived by three daughters, Laura Kolivoski and husband Paul of Painesville, OH, Carol Gearhart and husband Lt. Col. David Gearhart of Dayton, OH, and Pauline Laborzzi, of Cleveland, OH; one son, John D. Labrozzi, Jr. and wife Margaret, of Sarasota, FL.; and one sister, Helen Laskowski, and husband Walter of Erie. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Jessica, Jill, Jenna, Casey and James; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Alayna and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at St. Julia RC Church, 638 Roslyn Avenue, at 11 am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven. Memorials may be made to the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 1001 State Street, Suite 1400, Erie, PA 16501.
