Charlene T. Lester Lombardi

Charlene T. Lester Lombardi, age 61, of Erie, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Saint Vincent Health Center.

She was born April 15, 1948 in Hanover, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William Berdie and Arthith Browning Lester. She lived in Erie most of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert A. Lombardi Sr., one daughter, Maria Lombardi and one son, Ricky C. Lester.

She is survived by two daughters, Lashaun Cook of Asheboro, NC and Debbie Lombardi of AZ; three sons, Michael A. Lombardi , Albert Lombardi both of Erie and Danny Lombardi of FL; three sisters, Lynn Justice and husband Michael of Baileysville, WV, Donna Thompson and husband David of Hanover, WV and Lucille Collins and husband Jimmie of Brenton, WV and six brothers, Roger Lester and wife Sharon of Coal Mountain, WV, Jimmy Lester and wife Rose of Cleveland, OH, Dale Lester and wife Lynn of Baileysville, WV, Curtis S. Lester of Baileysville, WV, Willis Lester and wife Penny of Rock House, WV and Franklin Lester of Hanover, WV. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael A. Reiger, Zackary Bland, Jeremy Bland, Chuck Hatfield and Josie Cook; special niece, Sandy Varrio of Sharon, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a service there on Friday at 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint George RC Church, 5145 Peach Street, at 11 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
