Charles E. Braggins

Charles E. "Chuck/Chazoo" Braggins, age 60, of Erie died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Saint Vincent Health Center after a brief illness.

He was born November 21, 1951 in Erie, a son of the late Durker and Jean Horton Braggins. He lived in Erie all of his life.

Chuck was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for 38 years at GE, retiring in 2007.

He was a member and past commander of VFW Post 470 and served on their honor guard. He also was a member of ABATE and my social clubs. Chuck enjoyed summer backyard picnics, golfing, NASCAR "#39", riding his motorcycle, and was a longtime Steeler fan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Braggins.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ann Marie Fucci Braggins; one daughter, Jennifer Braggins; one son, Brad Braggins and his companion Kelly Koziarowski all of Erie; two brothers, Bill Braggins of CA and Jack Braggins of Erie and one sister, Barb Benzur of Lancaster, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Andrew and Anna Pilliteri, Korey and Megan Hicks, and Abby and Jayce Braggins; one step-grandson, Braden Koziarowski and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8:30 p.m. followed by a Military Service by VFW Post 470.

A Celebration of Chuck's life will be held at a later date.
