Charlotte Smith

Charlotte "Lotte" Smith, 81, of Las Vegas, formerly of Erie, passed away Thursday November 18, 2021 due to surgery complications. She was born May 15, 1940 in Germany.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy F. Smith; sister-in-law, Twila Gabbard; and a grandson, Wade Hampton Kutterna, Jr.

Charlotte is survived by five children; Donna Achille (Tony) of Erie, Lotte Biancosino (Steve) of Las Vegas, NV; Jody Smith Edinger (Joe) of San Diego, CA, Lee Smith of Erie; and Richard A. Smith of Erie; ten grandchildren, Lisa, Angela, David, Tony Jr., April, Sonny, Wade Jr., Alicia, Erik, and Matthew; and two step-grandchildren, Melissa and Bryan Franklin. She is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Max.

Charlotte was a member of a bowling league at Saint Mary's Club. She loved to knit and adored Elvis Presley.

Family and friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. followed by burial in Erie Cemetery.
