Christopher T. DiLoreto

Christopher T. "CJ" DiLoreto, age 50, of Erie died Sunday, September 6, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Erie he was born October 15, 1958, a son of Jack and Evelyn Taylor DiLoreto of Erie.

He attended Saint George Grade School, Cathedral Prep School and Gannon University. He had worked for the City of Erie, Penndot and as a bartender at the Erie Maennerchor Club. He enjoyed football, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 28 years Sharon L. Brewer DiLoreto of Erie; two daughters, Elizabeth and Katie DiLoreto both of Erie; two brothers, Gregory T. DiLoreto and his wife Elaine of Florida and Jeffery T. DiLoreto of Erie; his mother-in-law, Regina Sotomayor of Tucson, AZ and his lifelong friend, Mark E. Smith of Erie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a service there on Wednesday at 12:30 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint George RC Church, 5145 Peach Street, at 1 pm. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
