Clyde L. Moore
Clyde L. Moore, age 85, of Erie, died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Golden Living Western Reserve Nursing Home following a brief illness. He was born December 16, 1925 in Ridgeway, PA, a son of the late Edward and Freida Gardner Moore.
He had served in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed archery and hunting and was one of the founders of Presque Isle Field Archers. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his children, grandchildren and foster children.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marylou Dawley Moore. He is survived by four daughters, Deborah Finnell and her husband, Robert, of Harborcreek, PA, Kim Miodus and her husband, Charles, Colleen Green and her husband, Stan, all of Erie, and Brenda Moore, of Daytona Beach, FL; one son, Leslie David Moore and his wife, Lynn, of Cleveland, OH; and one brother, Jim Moore of Erie. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one niece.
Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until the time of service at 8:30 p.m. with Rev. Harold Blair officiating. Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Asera Care Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Drive, Erie, PA 16505.
