Consettina D'Aurora

Consettina "Lena" D'Aurora, age 77, of Erie, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 at home following a battle with cancer.

She was born May 13, 1930 in Trees Mills, PA, the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Perena Ciotti Daurora. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going out to eat with her family. She was a member of Saint Joseph RC Church. She belonged to the Rosary Altar Society and helped out with many events at St. Paul's RC Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Domenico D'Aurora, her son, Joseph "Joe D" D'Aurora and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Frank D'Aurora and his wife Maggie of Erie; one sister, Mary Dedad of Erie; one brother, Dominick Daurora of Apollo, PA; two sister-in-laws, Concetta Leone and Beatrice Rigazzi both of Australia; seven grandchildren, Tina Gross and her husband Jawn of Erie, Jennifer Talkish and her husband Joe of Erie, Julie Moore and her husband Keith of Erie, Tony D'Aurora and his wife Colleen of Colorado Springs, CO, Janette Wood and her husband Jeff of Erie, Jason Green of Erie and Dominick D'Aurora of Erie and ten great grandchildren, Dayvid Gross, MacKenzie and Gabrielle Moore, Bryon and Emilie D'Aurora, Zachary, Misty, Cody, Wezley and Simon Wood. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and two god children, Beatrice Blenner and Jenniffer Bliley. She will also be missed by her Chihuahua, Blacky.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Joseph RC Church, 147 West 24th Street, at 10 am Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
