Costantino "Gus" Coletta

Costantino "Gus" Coletta, age 78, of Millcreek, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at Golden Living Western Reserve after an extended illness.

He was born September 16, 1930 in Cortland, New York, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Gligora Coletta. He worked at Bucyrus Erie for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He also enjoyed traveling and gardening. The most important part of his life was his family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his second wife, Velma Watts Coletta and four brothers, Stephen Coletta, Lewis Coletta, Daniel Coletta and Stephen Coletta.

He is survived by one daughter, Kim Faulhaber and her husband Robert of Buffalo, NY; one son, Jaxon Coletta and his wife Karen of Erie; one brother, Samuel Coletta of Erie; two sisters, Ann Friend and her husband Paul of Girard and Sarah DePalma of Springhill, FL; one step-daughter, Diana Jones and her husband Richard of Waterford; one step-son, Michael Harris and his wife Cheryl of Erie; four grandchildren, Sheri, Shaun, Jill and Jessica and five step-grandchildren, Kevin, Keith, Kenneth, Tina and Amber. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 10 am. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery.
