Cynthia L. Pluta Farbo
Cynthia L. "Cindi" Pluta Farbo, 64, of Erie passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 17th 2022 at her residence. She was born March 3, 1958 in Erie, a daughter of John J. and Dolores "Dolly" Massucci Pluta. Cindi was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School Class of 1976. She worked passionately in management in the Food & Beverage Industry for many different venues over numerous years.
Cindi was a gardening enthusiast who usually had the tallest and most beautiful sunflowers in the neighborhood. She was an avid reader of all things mysterious and out of this universe, you could often find Cindi dancing to the beat of live music and she loved traveling to see her favorite concerts with Tom. Cindi was truly unique and a free spirit. She was kind, generous, and loving as well as fun. Cindi enjoyed spending time at the beach and appreciated nature whether it was watching the sunset with her grandbabies or going for hikes at Asbury Woods. On the contrary, she also loved having a girl's day full of shopping. She appreciated trinkets and pieces from every era, and would often go thrifting for fun. Cindi squeezed every bit out of life and sometimes even enjoyed the hopeful fun that came with playing bingo or scratching lottery tickets. She had a childlike wonder about her and always had a twinkle in her eye. She loved to joke around. Cindi was immensely proud of her daughter, Jessica and grandchildren, Lily and Grace, which she often referred to as her "girl gang".
In addition to her parents, she leaves behind her pride and joy, her daughter, Jessica M. Farbo (Copeland) and her two beautiful grandchildren, Lillian Marie (13) and Grace Ann (10). She is also survived by her soul mate of 23 years, Thomas G. Dick; his grandson, Kyler; brother, James Pluta (Ayrn); and former husband, Carmen D. Farbo.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday at the John R Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. A graveside committal service will be held on Friday in Laurel Hill Cemetery, 4523 Love Road at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
