Dahte Homan

Dahte (Dorothy Elaine) Homan, age 81, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Saint Vincent Hospital. She was born on February 10, 1943, a daughter of the late Raymond and Barbara (Kolenda) Homan.

Dahte and grew up in McKean Township. She graduated from General McLane High School in 1961 and from Sonoma State College (California) in 1977. Dahte retired in May 2008 as a Computer Specialist/IT Manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and then returned to live in the Erie area. She lived in northern California for many years. She also lived in Europe for many years while working for the U.S. Army. She enjoyed travelling and visits from her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Ruth Ann Morrison, Patricia Ann Desin Evans, Dolores Harris, and Geraldine Homan; and three brothers, Raymond, John Paul, and Larry Homan.

She is survived by her sister, Ann Homan; brother, David Homan; sister-in-law, Verna Jean Homan; brother-in-law, Steve Morrison; and nephew, Raymond Homan. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
