Daniel C, Kerr, age 61, of Cherry Street, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born June 4, 1948 in Union City, PA, a son of the late Emmet and M. Eileen Vantassel Kerr. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed music.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Susan L. Elias Kerr; two daughters, Tabatha Nelson and husband John and Mary Elias; one son, Bud Elias and wife Carla all of Erie; one brother, Ron E. Kerr and wife Patricia of Girard, PA and one sister, Beverly Black and husband Dennis of KY. He is also survived 4 grandchildren, Tommy Elias, Alera, Amya and Johnny Nelson and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Monday at Saint John the Baptist RC Church, 509 East 26th Street, at 10 am. Memorials may be made to the family.
