David Masi

David Masi, age 77, of Erie, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at UPMC Hamot. He was born January 27, 1938 in Erie, a son of the late Fred and Rose Presogna Masi.

David was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School Class of 1955.

He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the trumpet.

He was Past President of The Erie Professional Baseball Club and instrumental in bringing the Erie Cardinals Baseball Team to the city of Erie. He was a life member of the Maennerchor Club and enjoyed playing in the Duckpin Bowling League.

He is survived by his wife Connie Cook Masi of Erie; one daughter, Pamela J. Masi and one son, Todd D. Masi, both of Erie and two grandchildren, Carson Masi and Kara Wenzel. Also surviving are a nephew, Len Juniewicz and a niece, Lori Huff.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 8 p.m. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
