Dolores M. "Dee Dee" Viggiano, 91, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center. She was born November 1, 1929 in Erie, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary Grace Mattarazzo Viggiano.

Dolores was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. She worked at Verizon for over 40 years.

In her youth, Dolores enjoyed going to the beach with friends.

Dolores had a strong faith and was a life member of Saint Paul RC Church. She was an avid reader and followed current events. She was very generous especially to her family and cared for her sisters as they grew older.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Louise V. Viggiano, Ann Canella, Jennie Pizzi, Virginia Viggiano, and Nicolena M. Viggiano; two brothers, Augustine Viggiano and Vincent Viggiano; and her brother-in-law, Tony Canella.

She is survived by her nephew, Peter Pizzi (Toni); niece, Grace Seggi; and many great nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service there at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at Noon. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery.
