Dolores "Dolly" F. Pluta

Dolores "Dolly" F. Massucci Pluta, 96, of Erie, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 at The Residence at Presque Isle Bay. She was born April 18, 1928 in Erie, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Malinowski) Massucci.

Dolly was a graduate of East High School. She worked at Pulakos Chocolates, Bucyrus-Erie, and for General Telephone.

Dolly, was a woman of simple pleasures who found immense happiness in traveling and treasured every moment spent with her family, particularly her great-granddaughters. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor touched the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Pluta; a daughter, Cynthia L. "Cindi" Farbo; her grandmother, Victoria Malinowski; sister, Alice Balczon (Bernard) and; son-in-law, Carmen Farbo.

She is survived by her son, James "Jim" Pluta (Ayrn); granddaughter, Jessica M. Farbo; two great-granddaughters, Lillian and Grace Ann Copeland. She is also survived by her niece and goddaughter, Sharon Pareti and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street on Wednesday from 4:00 until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org
