Dominick Alberico
Dominick "Minigale" Alberico, 92, of Erie, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Saint Vincent Hospital due to complications of COVID-19. He was born March 7, 1928 in Erie, a son of the late Michael and Phyllis Alberico.
He served in the United States Army as a Fire Military Police. He worked at Hayes Manufacturing and Firch's Bakery.
Dominick was an outstanding athlete excelling in bowling, golf, and softball; he threw two no-hitters.
Dominick enjoyed cooking and was well loved by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances "Chi Chi" Aquillano Alberico; three grandchildren, Thomas Richter, Heather Alberico, and Nathan Petroff; sisters, Madeline Aquillano and Mary Ras.
He is survived by children, Carl Alberico (Teri), Matthew Alberico (Iris), Annette Alberico and Donna Richter (Rick); grandchildren, Roslyn Alberico (Duriel), Carl Alberico (Amy), Danny Cruz (Karen), Ashley Morganti (Greg), Jessica Alberico (Kyle), Rayshawn Alberico, Robert Richter, and Amanda Byers; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Dixon, David and Joseph Green, Olivia Brown, Lilian Lesh, Dominic, Emma and Madeline Alberico, Isabella Cruz, Nolan Morganti, Miles Sliker, Dominick Alberico, Garrett Merski, Jaden and Mikala Richter. He is also survived by two brothers, Mac and Angelo Alberico; sisters-in-law, Angeline Gualtieri and Rose Aquillano; many nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Lulu.
Due to COVID-19 Funeral Services will be private. Friends are invited to view the Live Stream Funeral Service on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. on the funeral home's Facebook page www.facebook.com/orlandofuneralhome. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., is handling arrangements.
