Donald Chester Olson

Donald Chester Olson, 84, of Erie, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Walnut Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 22, 1937 in Erie, a son of the late Chester and Helen Gama Olson.

Donald retired from Alliance Plastics.

Donald was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He was a longtime member of Commodore Perry Yacht Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Olson and second wife, Maryann Olson.

He survived by two daughters, Cindy Puckey (Terry) and Linda Johnson (Shane Mills); two sons, Dale Olson and Paul Olson; and four grandsons, Nicholas Olson (Alecia), Denny Johnson (Nicky Stancliff), Dan Olson, and Douglas Johnson. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
