Donald "Jim" Brickner
Donald "Jim" Brickner, age 75 of Erie, died Monday, February 1, 2016 at UPMC Hamot after an extended illness. He was born February 29, 1940 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Robert and Jean Tobin Brickner. He had lived in East Springfield, PA most of his life.
He had served in the United States Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga. He had worked at Steris.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the peace of the outdoors.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother and three children.
He is survived by his wife, Violeta Ristovski Brickner of Erie; dear cousins, Susan and Robert Fry and family of Titusville, PA; William and Lee Brickner of Georgia; and sincere appreciation to dear friends, Dr. Alex Kosenko (Anna) and Oleh Kosenko all of Erie and Doug Bateman (Chris) of East Springfield, PA for their friendship and caring. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Burial will be private.
