Dorothy V. Snyder Caldwell

Dorothy V. Snyder Caldwell, age 83, of Erie, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Saint Vincent Health Center after an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Erie she was born May 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Charles and Ethelynn Davis Snyder.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Caldwell; three brothers, Edward, Charles and Fredrick Snyder and one sister, Charlotte Gentile.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy A. Bowersox and her husband Mace, Luann S. Caldwell and Kimberly A. Marini and her husband Matthew; four grandchildren, Lisa Hale, Eric Bowersox, Nicholas Marini and Kristen Marini and seven great-grandchildren, Josh, Kayleigh, Kassidy, Kyndell, Samantha, Taylor and Zach all of Erie. She is also survived by her godson, Carl Gentile and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm and may attend a Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 11 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
