Dr. James A. Parenti, age 69, of Erie, PA, surrounded by his family at home, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 26th. He was born November 20, 1951 in Erie, a son of the late Raymond Parenti, Sr. and Cora Forfia Parenti.

Jim graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1971 and went on to complete his dental training at Gannon University and Loyola Dental School in Chicago. He served many Erie residents with his dental practice for over 35 years.

In his final weeks, Jim found comfort in meditating on Scriptures, particularly Colossians 2:2-3, "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." While we grieve our loss on earth, we rejoice that his soul has entered complete and perfect joy and rest in the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Parenti Jr.; daughter Rachel Parenti; and his cherished four-legged companion Bianca.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years Diane Kowalewski Parenti of Erie; children Kimberly Osborn (Mark) of Simpsonville, SC, Julie Parker (Jon) of Pittsburgh, and Michael Parenti of Erie; and one sister, Corinne Parenti of Erie. Also surviving are three beloved grandchildren Jenna, Joel, & Jeremy Parker, and nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Wednesday at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 4523 Love Road, at 2:00 p.m.
