Elaine M. DiPlacido

Elaine M. DiPlacido, age 57, of Deltona, Florida died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Fish Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born April 24, 1952 in Erie, a daughter of Theresa Klep DiPlacido of Erie, PA and the late Dominick DiPlacido. She was a graduate of Academy High School. She was a self-employed Realtor in the Deltona, Florida area. Elaine enjoyed garage sales and was a friend to everyone who knew her. She will always being remembered for her laughter, kindness and great compassion for all.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her brother, John DiPlacido and his wife, Susan of Erie; two sisters, Audrey DiPlacido of Erie and Mary Post and her husband Tim of Ellwood City, PA and several nieces and nephews, Kim Lynch, Kathy Trevorrow, Kelly, Krissy and Dominic DiPlacido, Samantha, Jenna, T.J. and Scott Post and Brian and Lisa DiPlacido. She is also survived by her closest friend, Debbie Fiore and beloved pet bird, Ubu.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a service there on Friday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 3 pm In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Neighborhood Free Clinic, 1608 Walnut Street, Erie, PA 16502.
