Elizabeth M. "Betty" Dusicsko Fischer, age 95, of 1025 West 33rd Street, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born September 5, 1912 in Hungary, a daughter of the late Steven and Elizabeth Czinke Dusicsko. She became a United States citizen at age 13 and worked at Marx Toys, retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Salvation Army Senior Citizens Center for 28 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Fischer; four brothers, John, Steven, Michael and Joseph Dusicsko and two sisters, Helen Dusicsko and Margaret Tarkowski.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine E. Nelsen and her husband Harvey; one son, Robert J. Fischer; three granddaughters, Kimberly Quirk and her husband Daniel, Karen Hrinko and her husband Brian and Katryn Musich and her husband Tod all of Erie and five great-grandchildren Scott and Matthew Hrinko and Trista, Ryan and Karlie Musich. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday at Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, 2816 Elmwood Avenue, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. The John R. Orlando Funeral Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, will be handling arrangements.
