Elizabeth Mannarelli Barberio

Elizabeth "Betty" Mannarelli Barberio, age 89, of Millcreek died Friday, March 28, 2008 at Saint Vincent Health Center following an extended illness.

She was born September 7, 1918 in Erie, a daughter of the late Antonio and Quintilia DiNicola Mannarelli. She and her husband had owned the Summit Superette. She had also worked at Seaway Aluminum. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church and the Ladies Montenero Society.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Barberio and two brothers, Louis and Dominic Mannarelli. She is survived by one sister, Angeline Berarducci of Erie, one brother, Anthony Mannarelli and his wife Rosemarie of Girard and two sisters-in-law, Florence Susi of Erie and Rita Mannarelli of Waterford, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a service there on Monday at 8:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 2401 West 38th Street, at 9:00 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
