Ethel E. Clinger

Ethel Elizabeth McGuire Clinger, age 82, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at her residence. She was born September 7, 1938, in Cambridge Springs, PA, a daughter of the late Earl and Opal Allen McGuire.

Ethel's door and heart were always open to those in need. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Kilbane; sister-in-law, Shirley McGuire; and brother-in-law, Paul Hopson.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Alice Benny and Vivian Schwindt, of Erie; her son D.J. McLaughlin (Susan), of Yulee, FL; brother, Richard McGuire, of Waterford, PA; sister, Vivian Hopson, of Corry, PA; grandchildren, Daniel, Joshua, Brayden, Kaene, Tara, Louis, Haley, and Marco; and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special close family friend, Kathy.

Funeral arrangements are private and in the care of the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc. 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
