Euphemia Marie (Fay) Orlando Grimaldi

Euphemia Marie (Fay) Orlando Grimaldi died peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2015 following a brief illness. She was 100 years old.
Daughter of the late Michael and Angelina DiLoreto Orlando, born in Erie, PA on May 17, 1915. She was a 1933 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and Eastman School of Dental Hygiene, Rochester, NY. She also attended the University of Pittsburgh and served an internship at West Penn Hospital.
Fay was a volunteer at Saint Vincent Health Center for over forty years. She had been President of the Women's Welfare League, the Alliance to the Erie County Dental Association, which she was a life member; State Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Dental Auxiliary; President of the Philharmonic Association; Board member of the American Cancer Society; Board member for the Homes of Children and Adults; President of the Erie Maennerchor Auxiliary of which she was a life member; and President of the Glenwood Heights Garden Club.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Frank Grimaldi, brothers, John R. Orlando, Dr. Quentin Orlando, and Robert Orlando, and sister Evelyn Chiamardes. Survivors include her son Frank Grimaldi of Erie, and daughter Roberta Cain of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren Brandon Cain, Alexandria, VA, Elizabeth Medvis (Steve) of Erie, Joshua and Adam Grimaldi, Orlando, FL, and Damon Grimaldi (Bobbi Ann), Flagler Beach, FL; and great-granddaughter Breeze Marie Grimaldi, Flagler Beach, FL.
Family and friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm are invited to a Funeral Mass on Thursday at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
