Eva J. Strain King, age 77, of Erie, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at Millcreek Community Hospital after an extended illness.

She was born July 13, 1930 in Erie a daughter of the late Malcolm and Doris Anderson Strain. She lived in Erie her entire life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald A. King Sr. and a sister, Patty J. Strain. She is survived by a daughter, Jean M. King; four sons, Ronald A. King Jr., Richard A. King and his wife Jean M., Gary J. King and Jeffrey L. King and his wife Kathleen M. all of Erie; one brother, Robert Strain and his wife Nancy of Fairview and two sisters, Luann Adamczyk and her husband Louie of Erie and Dianne Flick and her husband Jerry of Girard. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Erie County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 7880 Edinboro Road, on Saturday at 11 a.m. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
