Filomena M. Orlando

Filomena M. Orlando, age 54, of 2930 Cochran Street, died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born February 18, 1953 in Montenero, Italy, a daughter of the late Pietro and Colomba Zuchegna Orlando. She lived in Erie most of her life. She had worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, retiring in 2005.

In addition to his parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Orlando.

She is survived by two daughters, Constance A. Kress and her husband William and Catherine A. Parks and her husband Michael both of Erie; two sons, Jason Orlando of McSherrystown, PA and Aaron Orlando of Erie; six brothers, Joseph Orlando and his wife Rosalie of Erie, Nick Orlando and his wife Carmela of Erie, Mario Orlando and his wife Lena of AZ, Salvatore Orlando and his wife Mary of AZ, Antonio Orlando and his wife Barbara of Erie and Thomas Orlando and his wife Linda of Erie; a sister-in-law, Debbie Orlando of Erie and a dear friend, Judy Byerly of Erie She is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass Tuesday at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 1:00 p.m.
